Discover the vital role pollinators play in keeping our ecosystems thriving! In this hands-on, all-ages workshop, you’ll learn fascinating facts about native bees and other pollinators, including the endangered Richmond Birdwing Butterfly, and why they are essential for our environment. Then, roll up your sleeves and build your very own native bee hotel to take home, providing a cozy haven for these incredible creatures. Join us and help make a buzz for pollinator conservation!

Hop into the world of frogs and learn why these amazing amphibians are key players in our ecosystem, including the opportunity to meet one of Lone Pine’s amphibious ambassadors up close. This engaging, all-ages workshop will teach you how to identify native Australian frogs, distinguish them from invasive cane toads, and create a frog-friendly habitat in your backyard. Plus, you’ll receive a Frog Hotel starter kit to take home, helping you to support these fascinating creatures. Don’t miss this ribbit-ing opportunity to make a difference for our froggy friends!

Give local wildlife a helping hand! Join us for this hands-on workshop to learn about the critical role nest boxes play in providing shelter for native animals. Watch a nest box building demonstration, then unleash your creativity by painting nest boxes destined for the Sanctuary. You’ll also take home a nest box info kit and a native plant to help attract wildlife to your backyard. Together, we can create a brighter future for our feathered, furry, and scaly friends!

Calling all wildlife detectives! Put on your sleuthing hats and join us for a fun-filled workshop uncovering the secrets of local wildlife. Learn to spot and interpret animal clues like feathers, tracks and even “poo clues” to solve the mystery of who’s been in your backyard. Perfect for curious kids, this workshop includes hands-on exploration with real biofacts, animal encounters, and a special certificate of completion to take home. Become a wildlife detective and discover the wonders of nature.Â

- Entry to the sanctuary is not included and must be booked separately.
- Bookings are essential and close 7 days prior to event date.
- To ensure proper supervision, we ask that children under 14 years of age are accompanied by at least one paying adult.
- Annual Pass Membership cannot be redeemed against any of the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary – World Science Festival Programs.
