Support Us

As the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary, Lone Pine is a leader in animal welfare, research, and expertise, but we need the support of our wider community to continue this vital work.

By supporting Lone Pine, you will be helping us provide ongoing, high-quality care for our 400 animals and wildlife hospital patients, as well as continue our work in the field of wildlife research and conservation.

How do your donations help?

Taking care of our 400 animals, plus our wildlife hospital patients, is no doubt costly. Your generosity helps us in providing the best of care for all our animals, as well as support all the different roles required to care for our wildlife – from our keepers, vets and nurses to our enrichment officers, leaf cutters and volunteers.

Did you know that our animals eat 7 tonnes of fruit & vegetables in a single year?! That doesn’t even include meat, crustaceans, insects, hay, browse, leaf and all the other yummy things our animals eat!

Below are just a few ways in which your donation will help:

  • Purchase of feed for our animals
  • Purchase of annual vaccinations, including koala flu vaccinations & kangaroo tetanus vaccinations
  • Servicing of wildlife hospital equipment
  • Purchase of Koala Crittacare, a special supplementary paste feed for sick or aged koalas
  • Servicing of our vehicles, mowers & equipment used for leaf harvesting
  • Purchasing of eucalyptus tube stock for our plantations
  • Continuation of our education, conservation, and research efforts
