About the Position
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our sanctuary Cleaning Service team on a casual basis for up to 38 hours per week. We would like to welcome someone who is enthusiastic about coming to work everyday and it is crucial that our new team member will take genuine pride in their role and duties.
The cleaning team are fundamental to the ongoing success and appearance of Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and they are key to helping our visitors experience a pleasant and enjoyable day.
The sanctuary is open 7 days a week, therefore it is crucial that our cleaning services team members are available every day, including public holidays.
Experience in the Hospitality and Tourism sector would be beneficial, however not essential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will:
- Happily engage and positively interact with our sanctuary visitors
- Take pride in the appearance of the sanctuary environment
- Have high attention to detail and take initiative
- Ability to multitask and keep up with a fast-paced environment
- Work well both as part of a team and autonomously
- Think on their feet and enjoy a challenge
- Be in great physical health and have great stamina
- Experience using and understanding chemicals
- Adhere to and comply with to safety standards
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Hold a valid, Open driver’s license
- Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Role Responsibilities
- Maintaining high cleaning standards around the entire park, in line with our COVID management plan
- Cleaning and maintenance of toilet facilities throughout park
- Cleaning and maintenance of multiple office and staff buildings
- Ensuring the park tidiness and cleanliness is maintained
- General cleaning and maintenance of common areas around park
