Canis lupus familiaris

Aussie Working Dogs

Kelpies are considered a working dog, with natural instincts for managing livestock such as sheep and cattle. They can run up to 60km in one day.

A Dash of Dingo?

It is widely believed that kelpies were bred from Scottish collies and brought to Australia in the late 1800s. There is evidence that they may have bred with dingoes early on, making them tough dogs and well-adapted to the Australian climate.
